Roughly 55 days ago the green turtle Mama laid its eggs (138, to be precise) on this beach near Ras Kutani. Now, few days after the hatching, the little hatchlings were ready to crawl out.

Determined to reach the ocean it goes. Pretty fast, I might add.

When you’re small (ca. 10 cm in length) even the irregularities of the beach make up barriers.

Long way to the sea. Only every 1 out of 1000 is likely to return to the beach to nest…
